When students do not select in their own country, most of them opt for studying MBBS abroad. Some of them go to China, Russia, or any other country. But for me, Afghanistan is the best option. Here, we have mentioned the top 10 reasons you should opt for MD Admission In Afghanistan.
Why MD Admission In Afghanistan 2024?

2) Merit Basis Admissions
Once students in Pakistan and india are not selected in their respective government medical colleges, they move to china and Russia for their medical studies. These two countries’ universities do not take any entrance test for admission, but in Afghanistan, there are a limited number of seats. First, you need to appear in the Kankor test and get good marks, as the admissions are only on merit. So, a deserving student gets what he deserves.
3) Fully Funded MD Scholarship
China and Russia hardly give any scholarships. But in Afghanistan, you can get a fully funded scholarship, which will cover your tuition fee, hostel accommodation, and food. Here are the complete details about the MD Scholarship in Afghanistan for Pakistani students. ( click here )
4) Cheap Private MBBS/MD
The private medical colleges fees in Pakistan are getting higher and higher each year—the same like in China and Russia. The dollar rate is not constant, which is why the MBBS fee for Pakistani students in China and Russia has increased drastically. But in Afghanistan, you can get a better education than half or even less than half of the China and Russia MBBS fees.
- For 2024, the fee per semester in China is 3000$ to 3500$.
- In Russia, it is 2500$ to 3500$.
- In Afghanistan, it is 60,000 to 90,000 Afghani.
5) Good Students Patients Interaction
After 2nd year of MBBS, student interaction with patients in the hospital is very important. Chinese and Russian people mostly talk in their own language, which makes it difficult for foreign students to interact with them.
In Afghanistan, if you are selected in a government medical university and can speak Pushto, then you will find your clinical practice very interesting. There are every kind of patient in the hospital, and you are allowed to interact with them, take history, do a physical examination, and much more.
6) Cheap Hostels and Flats
Hostel and flat expenses are things that you should consider before going abroad. Unlike Russia and China, Afghanistan is not very expensive. Yes, its currency rate is higher than that of Pakistan, but the rate of goods and products is almost equal to Pakistani rates.
Like goods and products, their hostels and flats are also available at a good price. In Jalalabad, the hostel costs around 2800 to 3500 Afghani, and the flats with two rooms and kitchens cost around 5000 to 6000 Afghani, depending on quality. In Kabul, the hostel fee is a bit higher, like 4500 Afghani, and the flats cost somehow the same as in Jalalabad.
7) Easy Visa Process
Afghanistan Visa is cheaper than China’s and Russia’s visas. Before, it cost 250 pkr for students, but now its price has increased to 3000 pkr.
The Afghanistan visa process is very easy. Submit your valid documents, and they will give you a student visa. Visa is given in Afghanistan consulate Peshawar and Afghanistan Embassy Islamabad. Islamabad is a better option because they return your passport on the same day or tomorrow.
8) No language barrier
There is no such language barrier in Afghanistan. Most people talk in Pushto, and some of them also understand Urdu. In Kabul, you can face a little bit of difficulty because a large number of Dari speakers also live there, and some of them don’t understand Pushto.
9) Easy and Cheap Transport
An airplane can cost a lot when you go to a foreign country to get an education. There is no such thing as studying MD in Afghanistan as you can travel by car, which costs too little. You can also visit your home easily after each semester, during holidays, for a function, or in an emergency.
10) Halal food
The food is completely halal and delicious. You can easily find Pakistani food in Afghanistan, such as mattan. Afghanistan is also famous for its own cultural food, which brings a different taste to your favorite food list.

Hello sir my question is, I got 79 marks out of 200 in Mdcat, will I get admission in Afghanistan MD , according to Pmdc 50% Marks is mandatory in Mdcat, if so next year I reaper in Mdcat test 2025 and if I pass the exam with 50% marks will there be any Problem sir,
It’s better to appear next year when you have at least 50% marks in mdcat. Otherwise if you get admission with 79 marks then it will create problems for you in the future.
Coming to your next question will reappear in mdcat will create any problem? The answer is no. Afghanistan University admissions prefer their own test as compared to your Fsc score or mdcat attempts/score.
